6 Best Practices for 2011

1. Carry $1,000,000 limit of general liability and business auto liability and require the same from your subcontractors.

2. Hire a CPA even if only to check your financials and do your year-end taxes.  We recommend Addingmachine.com as they charge less per hour and a lot can be done in an hour!

3. Outsource your payroll administration, Workers Comp, and Human Resources to the professionals .  Trigon Staff Administrators can help you conserve your cash flow on Work Comp as well as keep you legal on employees, all while being payroll deducted!

4. Promote your business by having a website your customers can go to. Paul Duplantis at Quired built all of our websites and I think they look great!

5. At the first sign of trouble with a customer or general contractor not wanting to pay you, or any other complaint,  call Jeff Laskin (602) 266-9207.  The initial call is free and he can advise if more help is going to be required.

6. If you are ever unsure whether a project is allowed to be undertaken under your current license, call your person at Arizona Contractor License Center that facilitated getting your license.
